Vintage Prints Series 1

Vintage Prints Series 1_web_Page_1ugly quilt

Here is a look at the first of several floral series I’ve been working on. With a new generation of quilters and crafters there has been a big demand for a modern take on floral collections in the market.  It was a shift to move from juvenile/novelty themes, but a whole load of fun to design.

Vintage Prints was inspired by some of the ugliest quilts ever made.  I inherited ugly quilts from my moms side of the family.  They were sewn together out of necessity using what materials were on hand.  Granted, they are on a quilt rack in a rarely used room I’m proud of them all the same.   Hidden in between the satin and polyester are the sweet and simple petite prints that inspired this collection.
